Fitness Time – Tuwaiq, Riyadh: Converting a Legacy Site into a Premium Club
The Fitness Time Tuwaiq Riyadh project is a powerful example of how Archecho turns outdated buildings into state-of-the-art fitness facilities. This full-scope project involved the transformation of a former commercial building in the Tuwaiq district of Riyadh—a structure that had previously functioned as a wedding hall, then a supermarket, and now a premium full-service Fitness Time (FT) club.
The existing building presented two major challenges:

Reinforcing the outdated structural system to support fitness-specific loads

Integrating a swimming pool into a building that was never intended for it
Additionally, the original structure had numerous columns placed irregularly, making spatial planning and flow difficult. However, Archecho met the challenge head-on.
🛠️ Smart Redesign & Structural Innovation
Our team conducted a full structural and architectural assessment and then reimagined the entire internal layout. We successfully distributed functions around the existing columns while ensuring aesthetic harmony and zoning efficiency.
We also introduced a fully integrated swimming pool, reinforcing only the necessary areas without compromising the integrity of the original slab. This balance of technical accuracy and creative design allowed us to meet all brand and functional requirements of a full-scale Fitness Time club.
